G&B’s Acid Planting Mix is one of our most popular soil mixes for many, many reasons. Here in the Treasure Valley, our soils are almost always on the alkaline side, meaning our pH is around 7.5. The ideal growing pH varies among plant species, but generally for most garden variety species (non-native), it tends to run between a pH of 6-7, or slightly acidic to neutral, plants like blueberries do best in a soil of 4.5-5 pH. This is where the G&B’s Acid Planting mix comes in handy, you can use it alone in pots or mix it with our native soil to help those acid lovers thrive!
G&B Acid Planting Mix is made especially for acid-loving, shade-dwelling plants.
