DESCRIPTION:Taught by the fabulous Casey O’Leary with Snake River Seed Cooperative. This will be a two part class series and each section needs to be signed up for individually. \nSection 1: \n10am-11:30am Seed Saving 101 & Wet Seed Processing \nWe’ll cover:\n– How to save your own high-quality organic seeds\n– What is a “wet” seed?\n– How to know when your wet seeds are mature\n– Cleaning\, drying\, and storing wet seeds (hands-on practice!) \n  \nSection 2:\n12pm-1:30pm Organic Dry Seed Processing\n\nWe’ll cover:– Whether to save seeds from a particular plant– What is a “dry” seed?– Harvesting and curing dry seeds– Threshing & winnowing dry seeds (hands-on practice!)– Storing seeds\nClasses are FREE but limited space.
